Job Description

We're looking for a Director of Brand Communications with a passion for design and a natural gift for telling stories to join our remotely distributed North American team. We are searching for someone who can craft the Dribbble brand and lead the creative direction on the development of content programs that will inspire and challenge designers to further their craft and careers and will wear the hat of our Chief Storyteller.

Responsibilities

You'll own the Dribbble brand narrative, setting the tone and guiding the voice of Dribbble's brand in the marketplace. As the voice of the Dribbble community, you will help shape the future story of the company while championing the work of designers and ensuring that the stories we tell are informative and useful for designers in their creative journeys. You'll be responsible for mentoring and growing a talented team of people that are passionate about helping designers in their education, inspiration, and careers. You'll be a player-coach that can think strategically about the big picture, and roll up your sleeves to execute.

In your first 6 months, you'll be focused building our communications strategy to share Dribbble's unique mission and story with the world, and on growing the reach of our content channels, helping the team leverage different channels and partnerships to reach new audiences. You'll work with the content team to create blog articles that are authentic and reflective of the level of talent present in the Dribbble community. You'll work on developing proactive communications programs and will work closely with the leadership team and our public relations team to create thought leadership content. You will manage the Dribbble voice, tone, and creative direction for Dribbble Courtside blog, Overtime podcast, Hang Time conference, Dribbble meetups, advertising, social media, and PR team, and will search out strategic opportunities to highlight our team and showcase the Dribbble community, product launches & announcements, unique user stories, company achievements, and industry trends.
