DUTIES
The duties of this employee will be as follows:
Review the literature on internet social media (a comprehensive synopsis will be provided) and synthesize into a report that addresses how internet social media may effect and shape the defence and security environment over the next decade and beyond;
Make recommendations to DGMPRA regarding technology adoption;
Provide an assessment of developments in internet social media to include the general direction of R&D, known or proposed applications, commercial activity, component technologies, materials and methods (as opposed to the underlying theory).
The report will also highlight issues, applications, and trends in internet social media for defence & security.
A presentation of findings in a symposium context may also be also required.
QUALIFICATIONS
The Proposed Resource must have:
a minimum of 4 years experience providing consulting services to government clients regarding the implementation Social Media Strategies;
must be a recognized expert in the area of social media/web 2.0 (this must be substantiated through evidence of speaking engagements and/or publications on the subject);
and,
must have demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of Social Media parameters within a Federal government context.
