Fairstone Financial Inc. is seeking an experienced social media manager to launch our social engagement efforts and drive acquisition goals. Target audiences include Fairstone Financial Inc. customers, prospective customers, and employees.

Responsibilities:

Social Media Strategy & Execution
•Leads social media strategy development and execution; you will be responsible for independently, or with support from a digital agency, to define our social content strategy to reach your social engagement and acquisition goals
•Develops and manages all content on social media platforms. You will write and manage a detailed communications calendar, aligned with other marketing channels
•Ensures all marketing messages are tagged and tracked for analysis (using Google Analytics). You will consistently be monitoring post metrics to ensure that the content strategy is meeting your goals
•Uses tools to track and identify shareable and relatable content for curated posts
•Become an expert in the social media management tool (Hootsuite) so that you can train others using the tool
•Plays a social media leadership role; applies knowledge of social media tools and trends to contribute to the growth of the social program; teaches and advocates to others the value of social media for businesses
•Works with various groups within the organization (marketing, legal, compliance, operations, customer service, digital office) to discover new social content, ensure consistency and approvals, and to deliver superior social communications to Fairstone’s fans/followers
•Spearheads the development of an internal employee advocacy program for social media message amplification
Online Outreach
•Seeks out link building opportunities with bloggers, online influencers and partners to enhance SEO
•Develops relationships with media outlets and influencers to help spread brand messages and press releases
•Manages relationships with affiliates and website partners
•Ideates win-win opportunities with other affiliates, aggregators or websites to promote the brand
Marketing Communications Support
•Obsesses about understanding prospects and customers online – works closely with the rest of the marketing team to help define targets and messaging for acquisition channels (social and display advertising) and help identify website content that will drive conversions
•Ensures every message and image posted online is within brand guidelines
•Support for press releases or external communications
•Support other writing opportunities for the website

Job Qualifications The minimum qualifications for this position are:

•3+ years managing social media channel’s content and execution
•Bachelor degree, or college diploma/certification with work experience
•Creative and outgoing – able to sell ideas to external groups and influencers
•Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required
•Detail oriented – can manage and schedule multiple streams of communications
•Strong writing skills for the web
•Consistently on top of social media trends
•Experience with Google Analytics and social media analytics
•Experience with social management tools (such as Hootsuite) an asset
•Authorized to work in Canada
