Full-Time Multimedia Designer / Developer
Job Description
Dynacor Media, a leading production house offering a complete range of multimedia services and video productions to a wide variety of clients, is seeking a skilled Multimedia Website Designer with programming experience to help the expansion, and continued development, of our multimedia applications.
The successful candidate will possess a broad range of expertise in graphical design and layouts as well as knowledge of current web programming languages. The ideal candidate will be able to closely work well with others in a team environment, be self motivated and demonstrate a strong ability to conceptualize and create high quality designs and layouts.
Responsibilities:
- Work with our production and creative teams to conceptualize appropriate multimedia designs and usability to meet client requirements and expectations.
- Modifying, updating and supporting current projects.
- Keep current with advances and trends in multimedia design & development.
- Create designs, concepts, and layouts based on knowledge of layout principles and aesthetic design concepts
- Brainstorm and mocking up design ideas utilizing techniques best suited for project requirements.
- Ensure that the visual design communicates the desired message, and functions successfully for varying technical and performance specifications.
Required Skills
- Expert with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc)
- Knowledge of W3C Compliant HTML, CSS, Javascript (JQuery)
- Ability to work with content management systems (WordPress, Joomla, etc)
- Ability to be self sufficient and easily adapt to different types of work to meet project deadlines.
- A demonstrated understanding of multimedia and web integration issues, as well as knowledge of usability principles.
- Strong attention to detail, the ability to produce high-quality work quickly and error free.
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills including tact and diplomacy.
- Excellent analytical, organizational and planning skills.
Bonus Skills
- Programming knowledge of PHP, MYSQL, XML, AJAX & JSON.
- Working with HTML5, CSS3, and other recent web technologies.
- Understanding of SEO practices and Social Media networking.
- Experience with mobile phone and tablet development.
- Server hosting & maintenance.
Required Education
- Degree/Diploma in Media Arts, Computer Science, Instructional Technology, or related field. (B.S./B.A. in Computer Science, Graphical Design or equivalent is preferred.)
Preferred Work Experience
- Minimum three years graphical design / development work experience.
