Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in English, political science, journalism or communications-related field.

5+ years of C-level institutional communications experience with a proven track record in a complex, fast-paced environment.

Experience using social media and new media tools, social networking sites, video sharing sites, blogs and wikis.

Proven experience and ability in managing multiple-source projects that require attention to accuracy, consistency, and the ability to work with many different people with competing priorities.

Actively engaged in social media.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, editing skills and interpersonal skills.

Critical thinking and excellent content development skills to enable immediate and appropriate distribution of communications across multiple channels.

Extensive interviewing and researching skills.

A service mind-set and a team approach to working with colleagues.

Results-oriented, detail-oriented, organized and a proven team player.

Ability to work well independently and handle several concurrent projects in a timely manner.

Clear understanding of best practices in speech.

Thorough command of the technology associated with social media and the digital world (from the evolving social web to mobile tools and trends), sophisticated client service and digital communications skills, and high level of energy and passion with respect to this area of rapid change and innovation.

Strong organizational skills coupled with proven ability to effectively document work, handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and excel in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

Flexibility to adapt to unexpected and time sensitive demands.

Able to perform within an integrated and collaborative team environment.

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word and Excel, PowerPoint and other graphics and/or presentation software.

Strong photography and videography skills.

The role covers a broad set of responsibilities requiring expertise in strategic storytelling, communications and working knowledge of website best practices, digital and content marketing, as well as communications design, development and execution.
