Kabam is looking for Director, Live Game Operations to join us in delivering titles such as Marvel: Contest of Champions and our recently released Transformers: Forged to Fight. We don’t just make games, we play and love them too.


• Manage a team across a portfolio of games to drive monthly/quarterly strategic goals and key targets

• Direct and mentor Live Operations Leads for multiple top grossing game projects

• Plan, direct and evaluate the activities of Kabam’s advertising campaigns to promote sales of in-game products

• Manage resource and schedule tradeoffs between multiple projects

• Create and execute contests, events, and promotion plans to drive monthly goals and target metrics for the studio team

• Analyze and monitor key metrics and user feedback on a real-time basis to determine user trends and behavior. Quickly detect and surface game economy imbalances and concept/execute rebalancing plans

• Work with a team of Data Scientists and Analysts to perform deep analysis of the effectiveness of in game offers, events, and split tests

• Incorporate best practices derived from analysis into new and existing game features into other games

• Measure the success of product features after release and optimize their performance through split-testing and rapid, data-driven iteration

• Provide Game Live Operations Leads and Executive Producers with detailed feedback, reports, and information for development teams that will drive target metrics

• Manage a team of Live Operations Analysts to execute promotions and in-game events

• Collaborate with Live Operations Analysts and the Game Lead to identify new opportunities for improvements in the game

• Work with Central Technology teams to design, implement, and roll out tools and techniques for automating live event and offers for users


• 5+ years of experience, including senior game master experience of at least 3 years, ideally on mobile SaaS products and/or free-to-play games

• Strong track record of hitting revenue/metric targets on a live game

• Excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical ability with strong attention to detail

• Understanding of game design concepts and principles

• Passion for figuring out how game economies work and change

• Rock solid leadership and communication skills (both verbally and written)

• Proven ability to thrive in a fast pace environment with incredible work ethic, and drive to create and operate the best games in the world

• Strong interest in interactive media – video games, social networking, etc.

• Technical acuity and collaboration with back-end engineers in tool specifications and automation processes for client/server software

• Language of work: English. Language ability in both English and French, while not required, is an asset

• Bachelor degree in related field is desirable but not required
