HR Associates is a leader in public sector interim staffing and human resources consulting. Our Interim Staffing Division supports clients across the province in hiring administrative, professional and executive talent in such areas as administrative support, program management, health care, communications, human resources, finance, information technology, policy development, etc. Our clients include the Ontario Government, Federal Government, LCBO, Metrolinx, Public Health Ontario, Ontario Lottery and Gaming, College of Nurses of Ontario and many other reputable public sector and not for profit organizations.

Our regulatory body client is looking for a tech savvy and strategic thinking Digital Communications Specialist for 6+ month interim opportunity located in downtown Toronto.

In this role you will:
Draft and create alluring content for different web media forums, such as but not limited to press releases and marketing emails in order to attract target audiences;
Research and compile strategic methods for web and social media input in order to maximize optimal impact;
Manage the creation and distribution of internal and external newsletters as well as ensure that any documentation released meets the Corporate Design Standards Policy;
Develop engaging and effective articles and PowerPoint presentations to appeal to both internal and external audiences;
Monitor the organization’s website to ensure it is up to date and functioning on a daily basis; this will require troubleshooting as well as updating documents/graphics to maintain optimal web viewing;
Design as well as recommend and implement new designs, graphics, and content that relates to the overall organization in order to improve outreach and engagement within the public;
Support the Director of Communications as well as the leadership team as required.

Qualifications:
Post-Secondary education in Communications, Graphic and/or Web Design or relatable field;
3+ year of experience in a communications or digital design role;
Strong social media management skills as well as creative writing capabilities;
The ability to work independently in a fast paced environment while meeting required demanding deadlines;
Adequate knowledge and experience in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and MS Office Applications;
Experience with Search Engine Optimization content development will be considered an asset.
